Title:
INFRARED-RAY DETECTING ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6447919
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To maintain high sensitivity and to make it possible to decrease sensitivity outside a field of view, by providing a field-of-view limiting part, which has the thickness of twice or less the wavelength of infrared rays, between an infrared-ray condenser lens and pyroelectric type infrared-ray detecting element. CONSTITUTION:A signal lead-out electrode 2 and lead electrode 3 are formed on one surface of a pyroelectric element 1 comprising lead titanate ceramics. Al having a thickness of about 2mum and In having a thickness of about 1mum are sequentially formed as a ring shaped field-of-view limiting part 4 on the opposite surface of the element 1. An electrode 5 on an infrared-ray receiving surface is formed on the element 1 in the inside of the limiting part 4. A lead electrode 6 is formed on the limiting part 4 in continuation with the electrode 5. Meanwhile, a field-of-view limiting part 8 and a lead electrode 9 are evaporated similarly on the planar side of an infrared-ray condenser lens 7 made of Ge. Then the limiting parts 4 and 8 undergo thermocompression bonding so that they are not deviated. cut-in grooves 10, which are to become an air hole, are provided in the limiting parts 4 and 8. Thus, an interval of about 6mum can be formed between the lens 7 and the element 1. Then, lead wires 11 and 12 are connected to the electrodes 3 and 9, and the detecting element having the lens can be obtained.
