To provide an infrared ray high temperature heating furnace simple in constitution and excellent in heating efficiency of a test material.
This infrared ray high temperature heating furnace is provided with a furnace body 61 having a furnace chamber 62 accommodating a test material 3 and reducing a pressure; and a heater 64 for heating the test material 3 by an IR ray. The heater 64 has a quartz tube 64f; a pair of terminals 64d, an exothermic body 64a; and an introduction wire part 64b positioned between each terminal 64d and the exothermic body 64a. The terminal 64d of the heater 64 is exposed to the outside by penetrating a quartz tube 64f part near the terminal 64d through a through hole at the furnace body 61 side. A seal 65c is provided near the terminal 64d between the furnace body 61 side portion and the quartz tube 64f and the introduction wire portion 64b has a sufficient length such that the seal 65c is durable even by a heat generation of the exothermic body 64a.
