PURPOSE: To cut off the ingate automatically without requiring hard labor under severe environments, by providing a movable plate above a cast product supporting table, and, in the lower face thereof, a plurality of positioning pins to be inserted into the cast product hole parts and pawl members abutting against the runner thereof in the downward direction.
CONSTITUTION: A specified cast product a is guided and supported on a table 9 by means of a member 11, and is caused to slide by the forward movement of a piston 30 to stop and position a sprue d on an arm 32. As a piston 35 moves forward, a cutter 40 is pressed against the upper part of the notch groove in the sprue d from the side, and the sprue upper side is cut and removed. When, a moving plate 14 is lowered, and a positioning pin 22 is inserted into a hole b in the cast product to correct the positional deviation of the cast product, then each pawl member 23 is abutted and pressed on the sprue e correctly positioned downwards. Each ingate c is cut off the notch groove in the cast product main body connecting part, and the sprue d and the runner e containing the remainder of each ingate c are separated simultaneously. These pieces are further divided by the pawl members and recovered, and the cast product is discharged after rising of the movable plate 14.
