Abstract:
PURPOSE: To concentrate the generation of component segregation part due to concentration of solutes in a final solidifyication part at the time of solidifying a molten metal in a mold.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of executing ingot making by setting a feeder head frame 11 for ingot making at the upper part of a mold 12, the ingot making method and the feeder head frame for ingot making used to this ingot making so as to form the composition segregation part 15 only to the upper part side of the mold by solidifying the molten metal poured into the mold in the condition of making heat insulating or heat insulating performance in the lower part side of feeder head frame for ingot making less than that at the upper part side, are developed.
