Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regularly work a stable correcting force without increasing the thickness, and exhibit excellent correcting performance by forming an ingrown nail correcting tool of a material having a super-elastic effect which is subjected to a storage processing to a prescribed shape, and mounting it on the surface of the nail of a human body with being deformed into a form different from the stored shape.
SOLUTION: An ingrown nail correcting tool 21 is manufactured by preliminarily setting the transformation point to 27°C, for example, which is lower than the body temperature of human body, and performing a storage processing to a flat form. When this ingrown nail correcting tool 21 is mounted on the nail 2 of a finger 1 of foot, for example, an adhesive 22 is applied to the surface, and it is deformed into a circular arc according to the curve of the nail 2. Thus, the ingrown nail correcting tool 21 having super-elastic effect is apt to return the stored original flat shape to gently and continuously work a stable correcting force to the ingrown part 2a of the nail 2, whereby the ingrown part 2a is gradually pulled up outward and corrected without pain.
