Abstract:
To provide a simpler, portable, easier-to-use device that does not require coordination with forceful inspiration, but provides a short duration of administration, and deagglomerates a drug formulation in a manner that ensures a consistent particle size distribution of the delivered dose throughout the life of the device.SOLUTION: A medicament delivery device 100 includes a blister disposed about a blister axis. A dosing chamber may be configured to receive medicament from the blister, and the dosing chamber may be disposed about a chamber axis. A transducer may confront the dosing chamber. The transducer may be configured to aerosolize the medicament when the transducer is activated. The chamber axis may be transverse to the blister axis when the blister is in a dosing position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
