Abstract:
To provide a depot composition which is injected into a desired position in a patient's body to form a graft, which continuously produces a valuable agent.
The injectable depot composition includes a bioerodible, biocompatibile polymer; an effective amount of aromatic alcohol which has a water miscibility of ≤7 wt.% at 25°C and plasticizes the polymer to form a gel with it; and the valuable agent. The composition may include an ester of an aromatic acid or an aromatic ketone.
