Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection control device for an internal combustion engine that has small cooling loss while achieving suitable fuel injection characteristics.SOLUTION: An injection control device is applied to an internal combustion engine comprising an injection valve 40 having a fuel injection hole 48 and an air injection hole 49 and an ignition device. A fuel injection port 41 of the fuel injection hole is formed within a first annular range 61 or a circular range so as to inject fuel uniformly, and an air injection port 42 of the air injection hole is formed within a second annular range 62 and radially outside the first annular range 61 or circular range so that air is injected uniformly and collides against the fuel. The air injection is so controlled that as a fuel injection amount is larger and larger, the ratio of an air injection amount to the fuel injection amount is smaller and smaller. Further, the air injection is so controlled that as an engine rotating speed is larger and larger, the ratio of the air injection amount to the fuel injection amount is smaller and smaller. Additionally, the air injection is carried out for a predetermined time after the fuel injection ends.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
