Abstract:
To improve feeding performance of a feeding device that feeds an article to a conveyor.SOLUTION: In a feeding device 5, a first movement unit 13A moves a first table 11A toward a conveyor and then stops it to feed an article placed on the first table 11A from the first table 11A toward the conveyance surface of a cross belt sorter 3. A second movement unit 13B moves a second table 11B toward the conveyor and then stops it to feed an article W placed on the second table 11B toward the conveyance surface of the cross belt sorter 3. The first and second movement units 13A and 13B are arranged adjacently to each other in a direction orthogonal to the moving direction of the first and second tables 11A and 11B, and the moving paths of the first and second tables 11A and 11B overlap each other in a plan view. A first lifting mechanism 31A changes the height of the first movement unit 13A to enable the first and second tables 11A and 11B to cross each other in the moving direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
