To equalize the plate thickness of a foamed molded product by parallelly controlling the position of movable die plate at the time of foam molding using an injection foam molding machine.
The injection foam molding machine is equipped with a fixed mold 4, a movable mold 5, the fixed die plate 2 fixed on an attaching base plate, a movable die plate 3, a plularity of hydraulic mold clamping cylinders attached to the fixed die plate, a plurality of tie bars 7A-7D, a plurality of position detecting sensors 27A-27D for detecting the relative positions of the fixed die plate and the tie bars, the changeover valve 34 provided to the piping reaching the mold clamping cylinders from an oil pressure source and a control device 37 having a built-in control circuit, which individually stops the hydraulic mold clamping cylinders when it is detected that the position detecting sensors 27A-27D of the tie bars reach a prescribed position in a process for opening the molds by utilizing the foaming pressure of a foamable resin to control the position of the movable die plate so as to stop and hold the movable die plate to the position parallel to the fixed die plate, built therein.
