PURPOSE: To obtain a ceramic cup of an integral single structure having a body and a grip by one time injection molding by injection molding a material made of ceramics and a binder.
CONSTITUTION: As ceramics, a bone china or a pottery is preferably used. A thermoplastic binder is made mainly of a paraffin or the like wax and a plasticizer such as a stearic acid or the like, and also contains a small amount of fine powder of silica or the like. These mixture is injection molded to integrally form a cup body 12 and a grip 14. After releasing from a mold, a sprue formed of a sprue gate 29 is removed, a parting line is finished. Then, the mixture is baked at a low temperature, the binder is removed, and then baked at a high temperature. To conceal a sprue mark, a recess is preferably formed on an outer surface of the molding, and the sprue is formed in a range of the recess and plugs 80, 80', 80" or the like formed separately are preferably inserted into the recess. This method can be applied to an injection molding made of other material than the ceramics.
