Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a lightweighted, highly economic, synthetic resin made windshield without any deformation at all by a method wherein synthetic resin is injection molded into curved shape with specific curvature from an injection gate provided on an end of a windshield for motorcycle and the like.

CONSTITUTION: Synthetic resin is injection molded into a curved shape with 200W2,500R from an injection gate provided on an end of a windshield and then the surface of this windshield is hard coated. By means of designing such a curved shape, the windshield may be hardly deformed and if there is any deformation, it will be inconspicuous. On the other hand, the curvature range of 200W 2,500R will be optimum since if this curvature does not exceed 200, the windshield will become excessively cubic for practical use of a wiper while if it exceeds 2,500, the windshield will become excessively flat likely to cause a deformation.
