Abstract:
To provide an injection molding machine with a simple configuration that can suppress damage to a nozzle, a drive unit, and other injection device due to collisions.SOLUTION: A vertical injection molding machine 1 moves an injection device 10 at a first speed V1 to a speed changeover position Pb and moves it at a second speed V2, which is slower than the first speed V1, from the speed changeover position Pb to a nozzle touch position Pa. The vertical injection molding machine 1 determines a collision of the injection device 10 based on a current value I of an electric motor of an injection device drive unit 13 when the injection device 10 is moving at the first speed V1. When the vertical injection molding machine 1 determines that the injection device 10 has collided, it moves the injection device 10 upward by a retreat distance DR and then stops.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
