Title:
INJECTOR ASSEMBLY WITH PIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3164562
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching device between the upper and lower main bodies of a fuel injector in which the possibility of the deformation of a bore and the abrasion and damage of a plunger can be made minimum by preventing a transverse load from being exerted on an upper main body section.
SOLUTION: An injector main body attaching device using no screw comprises a groove provided in the lower end of an upper main body section 36, an aperture adjacent to the groove and extending and passing through a lower main body section 38 and a pin inserted into the aperture. The groove and the pin are sized so as to avoid a force due to the contact of the pin and the upper main body section. Thus, upon assembly, the pin, the aperture and the groove form a gentle connection without exerting a transverse load on a part between the upper and lower main body sections. A sealed load to the injector main body required for forming a hydraulic fluid sealing between the upper and lower main body sections is applied thereto by an injector attaching clamp 34.
