Title:
INK BASE LAYER PROCESSING FOR CONTROLLING THICKNESS BY USING HALF-TONING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017205764
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide suitable ink base layer processing.SOLUTION: An inkjet process is used for depositing a material layer up to a desired thickness. Layout data is converted into a gray scale value per a cell representing the ink volume transmitted locally respectively. The gray scale value is used for generating a half-tone pattern for transmitting the variable ink volume (and a thickness) to a substrate. Half-toning provides a comparatively continuous layer (for example, there are no unintentional clearances and holes) while providing the variable volume, and thus, contributes to accumulation of a variable ink/material so as to attain the desired thickness. Ink is ejected as liquid or aerosol for suspending a material used for forming the material layer, for example, an organic material used for forming an encapsulation layer for a flat panel device. Next, a deposition layer is hardened or finished as a separate specification so as to complete the process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
