Abstract:

To provide an ink cartridge in which an amount of ink remaining in an ink storage unit upon finishing of use of the ink cartridge can be minimized.SOLUTION: The ink cartridge is provided that is mounted on an ink jet recording apparatus comprising an ink cartridge storage space in which the ink cartridge is stored, and of which the longitudinal direction is inclined with respect to a horizontal direction. The ink cartridge comprises ink, an ink storage unit for storing the ink, and pressurizing means which pressurizes the ink storage unit. The ink storage unit has an ink supply port at one end, and a bottom facing the ink supply port at the other end. When the ink cartridge is stored in the ink cartridge storage space, a position of the bottom is higher than the ink supply port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3B
