This ink composition comprises water, a colorant, and fine particles of a fluororesin having a fluororesin unit. The fine particles of the resin are preferably fine particles of a fluorine-contg. vinyl ether resin, represented by the formula, comprising a fluoroolefin unit and a vinyl ether unit. In the formula, X represents a member selected from among F, CF3, and Cl, Y represents a member selected from the group consisting of R2, R3OH, and R4COOH, R1 represents hydrogen or a 1-18C alkyl group, R2 represents a 1-18C alkyl group, R3 and R4 each represent a 1-18C alkylene group, and n and m are each an integer, provided that the ratio of m to n is (1:99) to (99:1).
