Abstract:
To provide an ink composition which is excellent in storage stability and discharge stability and from which a high-quality image can be formed and to provide an inkjet recording method using the ink composition.
The ink composition contains a colorant (A), a photoacid generator (B) and a cationically polymerizable compound (C). The content of the colorant (A) is 3.5-30 wt.% of the total weight of the ink composition. The colorant (A) contains a pigment and a dye and the weight ratio of the pigment to the dye is 0.1-10.
