To provide an ink composition excellent in prevention of bleeding or color staining of an image, providing high image quality such as color hue, excellent in storage stability of an ink as well as the obtained image and excellent in discharge stability and antiseptic property; and to provide an inkjet recording ink and an inkjet recording method.
The ink composition contains the first and second coloring materials, and an antiseptic agent. The first coloring material is a compound represented by general formula (Y), and the second coloring material is at least one compound selected from the group A having specific structures. The content (mass%) of the second coloring material to that (mass%) of the first coloring material in the ink composition is ≥0.001 but ≤1.0 in a mass ratio. In the general formula (Y), Ms are each independently hydrogen or cation, and M when being cation, is Li+, Na+, K+ or NH4+ ion.
