Abstract:

To provide a black ink composition excellent in gas resistance, especially in ozone resistance.

The ink composition contains a dye used as a black color material and represented by formula (1) and/or formula (2) described in the patent claims and an aromatic compound having a sulfo group and/or its salt. A recording method and a recorded matter, both using the ink composition, are also provided.
