Title:
INK COMPOSITION FOR WATER-CONTENT INDICATOR AND RECORDING MEDIUM USING IT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3451673
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a water-content indicator whose color is extinguished when it is placed in water or when water adheres to it, which maintains a state change when its color is extinguished even after it dried and which is provided with environmental preservability, i.e., preservation stability against humidity in the air.
CONSTITUTION: The ink composition for a water-content indicator is formed in such a way that a composition which is composed of an organic acid, a color-developing organic compound which is colored by organic acid, an absorbent powder and a high-molecular bonding agent, is dissolved or dispersed in a nonaqueous solvent. The water-content indicator is formed in such a way that a support body is coated with the ink composition. In the ink composition for a color-extinguishing water-content indicator, the organic acid is hydroxyphenylalkyl carboxylic acid or its derivative or a mixture of both. The provided recording medium uses the ink composition.
