Title:
INK FEEDING PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57212382
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten the rise time required for raising the pressure of ink to a required pressure and to remove pulsation of ink flow, by employing such an arrangement that ink pressurized to a proper level is discharged continuously during recording time and drawn during non-recording time.

CONSTITUTION: When a coil assembly 8 of a voice coil type linear motor is retracted by passing current through a voice coil 7 during non-recording time, for instance, in the period required for retracting of the nozzle head of a printer, pressure in an ink pressurizing chamber 3 becomes negative and ink is drawn into the chamber 3 via a check valve 1. When the coil assembly 8 comes into abutment with a stopper 12, current supply to the voice coil 7 is stopped. On the other hand, by passing current through the voice coil 7 in a reverse direction in starting recording operation, the coil assembly 8 is forced out into the ink pressurizing chamber 3. Resultantly, ink in the chamber 3 is pressurized by a bellows-diaphragm 6 and discharged to the outside from a check valve 2.
