Abstract:
To provide an ink fountain capable of reducing the likelihood that a surface of a sheet member covering an upper surface of a bottom wall part of an ink reservoir is strongly pulled in a rotation direction and broken when a fountain roller rotates by ink adhered to an outer peripheral surface of the fountain roller.SOLUTION: An ink fountain 11 includes: a fountain roller 13; a pair of side wall parts 14, 15; a bottom wall part 16 whose upper surface is arranged in a forward inclined posture; a blade 17 forming a gap 23 that allows ink 19 to pass between itself and an outer peripheral surface of the fountain roller at a front end edge of the bottom wall part; and a sheet member 29 which covers an upper surface of the bottom wall part in an ink reservoir 20 encircled by the outer peripheral surface of the fountain roller, inner surfaces of the pair of side wall parts, and the upper surface of the bottom wall part, and is arranged so as to protrude a front end part forward from inside the ink reservoir, from a gap between the outer peripheral surface of the fountain roller and the blade. The fountain roller is formed with a material in which the outer peripheral surface has non-wettability property with respect to the ink.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
