Abstract:

To provide an ink including an anthraquinone dye having a high absorption coefficient and high light resistance, while excellent in solubility for low polar solvents, and anthraquinone dye used therefor.

The ink includes the anthraquinone dye shown by general formula (I), and a low polarity solvent, wherein the R1 and R2 may have each independently substituents, and are an alkyl group having 2 to 20 carbons, or alkoxyalkyl group having 2 to 20 carbons, wherein at least one of the R1 and R2 may have each a substituent, and are a branched alkyl group having 3 to 20 carbons or branched alkoxyalkyl group having 3 to 20 carbons. The anthraquinone ring may have substituents other than NHR1 and NHR2.
