To easily attach/detach a recording head in an ink-jet apparatus performing connection and connection release between the recording head and a tube, interlocked with the turning operation of an operating member.
The ink-jet apparatus includes a joint part 310 movable into a first position where the flexible tube 302 connected to an ink tank 320 communicates with the recording head 100, and a second position where communication is released; the operating member 91 rotatably provided at a carriage 71 to take a first attitude or a second attitude to the carriage 71; and a link mechanism for interlocking the operating member 91 with the joint part 310 so that the joint part 310 moves into the first position or the second position in association with turning of the operating member 91. The operating member 91 is energized to maintain one of the first and second attitudes by the restoring force of the tube 302.
