PURPOSE: To accomplish miniaturization of an ink jet device as well as high-speed setting by providing electrodes for conducting current to ink in a pipe for jetting electrically conductive ink and a superconductive magnetic field generator for generat ing a magnetic field in the direction normal both to current and the central axis of the pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Since ink 8 incorporates silver particles of not more than 10μm, it reacts to a magnetic field. In addition, these particles are so small that there would be no risk of the pipe being choked therewith. A magnetic field is generated from the magnetic core of a superconductive magnetic field generator 3 when current is conducted through a superconductive wire 4, and is then imparted to ink 8 inside a circular jet pipe 1. When pulse current generated from a pulse driving current genera tor 7 is conducted to ink 8 in the direction normal to the magnetic field generated from the magnetic core of the superconductive magnetic field generator 7 via a pair of electrodes 2 provided on the opposite sides of the pipe 1, a force generated by the action of electromagnetic induction is exerted on ink 8, thereby allowing ink 5 to fly in the direction shown by arrow 6. It is possible to control the jetting of ink 5 by means of pulse current generated from the pulse driving current generator 7. This allows ink 5 to be jetted in a continuous manner or in dots.
