To obtain an ink-jet head which satisfies all factors of high reliability, low cost, and a small size.
The ink-jet head is formed of: a head body 1 which has formed therein a plurality of pressure chambers communicating with a plurality of nozzles (nozzle rows), respectively, for storing ink therein; an oscillation plate which has one surface thereof set on the head body 1 so as to face to the plurality of pressure chambers; and a plurality of piezoelectric oscillators arranged on the other surface of the oscillation plate, for oscillating the oscillation plate at every pressure chamber. The ink-jet head functions to eject ink droplets from the nozzles (nozzle rows) to a recording medium upon oscillation of the piezoelectric oscillators. Herein the side of the piezoelectric oscillators of the head body 1 is directly covered with an elastomer material 5 or the sealed piezoelectric oscillators are set in an atmosphere of a dew point of -30°C or less.
