PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet ink that is excellent in image density and storage stability of plain paper.SOLUTION: An ink jet ink comprises water, a water-soluble organic solvent, a pigment and a copolymer, wherein the copolymer comprises a constitutional unit represented by formula (1), and constitutional units such as 2-(meth) acryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine, (meth) acrylic acid oleyl, and stearyl.
