Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily form an insulating film having reliability on an electrode of an ink jet head.
CONSTITUTION: A channel 4 is covered with an upper board 6 having an ink supply port 7 matching to a channel pitch, and connected to an ink storage tank through the port 7. When a voltage pulse is applied to electrodes 10 formed on both side surfaces of a sidewall 5 for partitioning the channel 4 by electrically actuating means, the sidewall 5 is deformed to discharge part of the ink filled in the channel 4 from a nozzle opening 3 as ink droplet by generated pressure and to discharge the other part to the tank side through the port 7.
