Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a VOC component diffused during ink printing operation to a specified value or lower.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 100 uses an organic compound as a material of an expendable item and includes: an ink cartridge 24 which is provided so as to be detachably attached to the ink jet printer 100, stores an ink, and supplies the ink to the ink jet printer 100 when attached to the ink jet printer 100; a storage tag 24a which is attached to the ink cartridge 24 and stores information regarding the ink stored in the ink cartridge 24; a VOC calculation section which calculates a current ink VOC diffusion amount on the basis of the information regarding the ink stored in the storage tag 24a; and a drive control section 317 which changes a paper sheet interval of paper transportation according to a calculation result of the VOC calculation section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
