Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize cleaning water supply through a simple structure by feeding the cleaning water from a tank to a member for wiping off the ink delivery face through the use of gravity and controlling the cleaning water supply depending on the level difference between the tank and the wiping member.
CONSTITUTION: A recovery system unit at an ink jet recording section comprises a blade 5a made of a porous polymer absorber kept in an appropriate wet state in order to wipe off a print head and the blade 5a is sandwiched firmly between a blade holder 3113a and a fixed plate. An opening 7O71B is made in the plane of the holder 3113a abutting on the blade 5a while communicating with a suction means 7082 through a conduction path 7O71C and a suction tube 7074 so that the cleaning liquid and ink absorbed by the blade 5a are sucked and discharged. The blade 5a is fed with cleaning liquid 7081 from a tank 7080 through a solenoid valve 7079, a supply tube 7076, and a supply nozzle 7075.
