Abstract:

To perform appropriate correction of a recording head ejecting ink when ink ejection is reduced or ink is not ejected due to various causes.

A specified shading pattern is recorded with different frequencies, a nozzle from which ink ejection is reduced or stopped due to increase of path resistance is judged from the difference of density distribution and different correction processing is effected depending on the state of that nozzle.
