Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily attach a recording head and a printed board to a carriage as units by a method wherein connection terminals for supplying electricity to a plurality of ink ejection actuators are electrically connected at the same time when the recording head is attached to the carriage effectively using the printed board provided on the carriage.
SOLUTION: A driving IC 49 is attached to an external face of a cover plate 47 of a head substrate 40 on which a plurality of ink passages 43 are formed, a plurality of drawing electrodes 50, 51 connected to the driving IC 49 are formed and a plurality of terminals 52 are formed at the rear end sections of the drawing electrodes 51, respectively. A plurality of connection terminals 55 corresponding to the plurality of terminals 52 of the recording head 35 are formed at the end sections of wiring patterns 54 formed on a printed board 32. In a condition that an adhesive is coated on the end face of the recording head 35, the recording head 35 is attached to the printed board 32 so as to correspond the plurality of terminals 52 with the connection terminals 55. The printed board 32 is attached to the carriage.
