Title:
INK JET RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS54107735
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance energy imparting efficiency and lower power consumption by concentrically projecting heat energies to the ink dot immediately after printing thereby drying only the required portions.

CONSTITUTION: When a drum 7 and a screw bar 6 are rotated by energizing main and auxiliary scanning mechanisms and ink jet heads 11 thru 13 are energized to make printing at specified timings, then the ink having been injected from the head 13 and deposited on recording paper 8 is forcefully dried by a heat ray projecting head 22 and goes under the injection orifice of the head 12, where ink drops are injected from the head 12 and these ink drops are forcefully dried by the heat ray projecting head 21 and go under the injection orifice of the head 11. The heat ray projection energies of an incandescent lamp 9 are concentrated at a minute area by a lens 12, whereby the energy density applied to the ink on the recording paper is increased and the rate of drying increased.
