PURPOSE: To enable a recording paper to be easily removed when the leading end of the paper is mis-held or the paper is stopped in the interior of the device, by a construction wherein a paper-supplying passage for feeding a recording paper to a drum, a position for holding the leading end of the paper and a paper-discharging passage for discharging the paper separated from the drum are disposed on a straight line.

CONSTITUTION: The paper-supplying passage for supplying a recording paper from a paper-supplying cassette 1 to the drum 7, the holding position A for holding the leading end of the paper for winding the paper around the drum 7 and the paper-discharging passage for discharging the paper separated from the drum 7 into a tray 12 are disposed on a straight line. When the leading end of the paper is not held onto the drum 7 at the position A because of a shift of timing due to some cause, the paper is pushed y a registration roller 5 to move straight ahead, then the leading end of the paper reaches a paper- discharging roller 11, and the paper is discharged into the tray 12. When the paper is stopped in the interior of the device, it is seen from the upper side and can be confirmed directly at the place of the trouble, so that it can be easily removed.
