Title:
INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP01133753
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase a recording speed by obtaining an ink jet mechanism having high response frequency, by arranging a large number of nozzle orifices in opposed relation to respective pressure generating members.

CONSTITUTION: A large number of pressure generating members 22 constituted by bonding piezoelectric elements 20 to a metal plate 21 are fixed to the spacers 24 integrally formed to a substrate 23 at both ends thereof and a large number of nozzle orifices 25 are provided to the substrate 23 so as to correspond to the pressure generating members 22 by drilling. The internal space constituted of the substrate 23 and the head cover 26 is filled with ink and the pressure generating members 22 take a structure immersed in ink. When voltage is applied to the pressure generating members 22 by a drive signal 28, the pressure generating members 22 immersed in the ink 27 are displaced in the direction shown by an arrow 29. As a result, the pressures of the ink layers between the pressure generating members 22 and the substrate 23 are raised and ink droplets 30 are emitted from the many nozzle orifices 25 bored in the substrate 23 to form the recording corresponding to one pixel on a recording medium.
