Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an ink jet recording apparatus preventing the emission inferiority of ink due to the fluctuations of ink pressure accompanied by the reciprocating motion of a carriage and obtaining the stable emission of ink while suppressing the lowering of a printing speed as low as possible.
CONSTITUTION: In an ink jet recording apparatus equipped with a carriage motor 8, a carriage motor driving part 6, a current limiting part 9 and a current limit value changeover part 10, the remaining amount of the ink in an ink supply container is monitored by an ink remaining amount detection part 12 and environmental temp. is detected by a temp. detection part 14 and, when the detected remaining amount of ink becomes a predetermined amount or less and the detected temp. is a predetermined value or less, the setting of the current limit value of the current limiting part 9 is changed over to alter the acceleration of a carriage.
