Title:
INK-JET RECORDING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11157076
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To stably jet ink drops and form high-quality images by providing a constitution applying a non-discharge driving waveform having a driving energy whereby ink drops are not discharged to any of all electromechanical conversion elements corresponding to a non-driving nozzle.

Based on various data and signals fed via a PIO port 86, a head-driving circuit 87 applies a driving waveform (discharge driving waveform) to piezoelectric elements of a driving nozzle (nozzle discharging ink drops) corresponding to image information (printing image data) among piezoelectric elements corresponding to nozzles 64 of a recording head 6. Moreover, the circuit applies a driving waveform (non-discharge driving waveform) having a driving energy of a level not to discharge ink drops to piezoelectric elements of the nozzle 64 corresponding to a spare driving data among the nozzles 64 of the driving head 6. The driving waveform can be a rectangular pulse, a triangular waveform, a sin waveform or the like shape.
