Abstract:
To provide an ink jet recording element having a fast ink drying time, having good stability when exposed to ozone and a high humidity condition and having high gross while minimizing cracking, and to provide a printing method using the ink jet recording element.
In the ink jet recording element wherein an image receiving layer containing porous polymeric particles in a polymeric binder is formed on a support, the polymeric binder is polyvinyl alcohol having a hydrolysis ratio of at least 95% and a number average molecular weight of at least 45,000.
