Abstract:

PURPOSE: To sufficiently supply ink even at the time of high speed recording and to prevent the generation of printing inferiority by always making the meniscus state of the ink in a channel normal by suppressing the inertial force of the ink in a liquid chamber.

CONSTITUTION: In an ink jet recording head equipped with liquid channels 101 each provided with an emitting energy converting element, the common liquid chamber 102 communicating with the liquid channels, an ink tank 105 including an absorbing member 106 holding the ink supplied into the common liquid chamber, the ink supply channels connecting the ink tank and the common liquid chamber and the filters provided to the end surfaces of the ink supply channels to trap waste refuse in ink, one common liquid chamber 102 and one ink tank 105 are connected by a plurality of ink supply channels 103A, 103B and filters 104A, 104B.
