Abstract:

To suppress adhesion or deposition of micro chips to an ink channel or the periphery thereof at the time of forming the ink channel or an orifice by laser machining.

A top plate 7 is set in a cover 50 introduced with mixture gas of oxygen gas and helium gas and KrF excimer laser beam 2 radiated from a laser oscillator 1 is condensed through a synthetic quartz lens 3. It is passed through a projection mask 4 where a machining pattern is formed by aluminum deposition and projected to an orifice plate 10 formed integrally with the top plate 7. Resin is thereby evaporated from the top plate 7 and an ink liquid channel 14 is formed.
