Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the forming capacity of neutral tints to achieve the enhancement of color reproducibility by heating ink to a plurality of temps. corresponding to recording image color signals and changing the optical density or reproduction range of the color of formed recorded matter to perform recording.
SOLUTION: When a recording signal 210 is inputted to a signal input part 209, the recording signal 210 is decomposed to an ink droplet emitting part driving pulse 206 and an ink heating part driving pulse 207. The ink heating part driving pulse 207 is applied to an ink heating part 201 and temp. is raised to heat an ink part to a desired temp. When the ink part emitted as an ink droplet 204 reaches the desired temp., the ink droplet emitting part driving pulse 206 is applied to an ink droplet emitting part 202 to start recording operation. The temp. of ink is changed on the basis of the shape or size of the impact dot formed on a material 205 to be recorded by the ink droplet 204 and the thickness of a dyeing layer on the material to be recorded. By this constitution, the optical density of a color or a reproduction range is changed and a color forming property or color reproducibility is enhanced.
