Abstract:
To provide an ink for ink jet recording capable of forming an image having high quality, and having excellent storage stability, free from the problem of the drying of the ink in an ink jet head and having high ejection stability.
The ink jet recording ink contains at least one kind of a dye expressed by a specific general formula and dissolved or dispersed in an aqueous medium and further contains a betaine-type surfactant. The height of foam measured by shaking the ink ≥30 times in 10 sec and left to stand for 3 min is ≤30 mm.
