Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an ink jet recording method which can mix appropriately colors without generating divergence from an essntial color tone of a dye by the color tone of printed matter even when the dye revealing water resistance is used.
CONSTITUTION: In a ink jet recording method wherein recording is carried out on a material to be recorded by discharging ink from an orifice of a recording head by following a recording signal, ink having pHA being one half of absorbance of an stable area of ink in an absorbance curve to variation in pH is used, and the material to be recorded wherein a coated layer is provided on a base material and surface pH being pHB is provided, is used. Then, the ink jet recording method satisfies a relation of pHA<pHB.
