Title:
INK JET RECORDING PAPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3721782
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the slip properties of a surface without deteriorating the degree of luster so much by a method wherein a plurality of porous layers are formed on a substrate and monodisperse matting agent, provided with the degree of dispersion of a specified value or less, is contained in the uppermost layer positioned at the most distant side among the porous layers from the substrate.
SOLUTION: A plurality of porous layers, containing inorganic fine particles, employing white inorganic pigment such as light calcium carbonate, heavy calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, kaolin, clay, talc, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate or the like, and a hydrophilic binder such as gelatin, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyacrylic acid or the like, are formed on a substrate. Monodisperse matting agent, having the degree of dispersion of 2 or less, is contained in the uppermost layer positioned at the most distant side among the porous layers from the substrate. According to this method, the slip properties of a surface can be improved without deteriorating the degree of luster of the surface so much.
