Title:
INK RAMIFYING DEVICE FOR INK JET PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56144161
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts and improve the workability as well as the maintenance properties of the device by a method wherein the supplying operation of ink to an ink jet head and the stopping operation thereof are effected by regulating the depth of screwing of a joint screwed into an ink outlet port.

CONSTITUTION: In the ink jet printer in which a plurality of ink jet heads is arranged in one row, there are provided a recess 13 and an ink introducing port 16 in a member 14 while the ink outlet port 17 in a member 15, further, the joint 18 to be screwed into this outlet port 17b is also provided. When the screw of the joint 18 is loosened and withdrawn a little bit, ink introduced from the ink introducing port 16 into a liquid chamber 13 is ramified and is flowed into each ink path 17a, then, is passed through an ink leading port 20 and the joint 18, thereafter, is flowed out into the direction of the ink jet head. When the screw of the joint 18 is tightened and screwed into a deeper position, a conical elastic body 19 at the tip end of the joint 18 blocks the outlet of the ink path 17a and the flow of the ink is stopped. The number of holes communicating with the liquid chamber is reduced compared with the same of the traditional device, therefore, the structure thereof is simplified and the cleaning thereof may be facilitated. The main body of the device may also be manufactured by the molding of plastics.
