To provide an ink receiving particle which can receive various types of ink and also keep its liquid absorbing property improved, and to provide a material for recording which utilizes the ink receiving particle, a recording device, and a cartridge for storing the ink receiving particle.
For example, a particle layer is formed on an intermediate transfer body, an image is formed by discharging ink droplets onto the particle layer, and thus an ink is received by the ink receiving particle. After a recording medium is overlapped with the intermediate transfer body and an ink receiving particle layer is transferred on the recording medium, it is fixed. The ink receiving particle 200 which is applied for the recording device is, for example, structured by containing at least one resin selected from a hydrophilic organic resin, wherein at least a portion of a polar group of the resin has an alkali metal salt structure, a hydrophilic organic resin, wherein at least a portion of a polar group of the resin has a multi-valent metal salt structure, and a hydrophilic organic resin, wherein at least a portion of a polar group of the resin has an organic amine salt structure.
