Abstract:
To detect deviation of an ink ribbon in a width direction crossing a longitudinal direction.SOLUTION: An ink ribbon 90 for forming an image on a card includes a detection pattern 90e arranged in a longitudinal direction Y of the ink ribbon 90 in a region 90c not used in formation of the image on the ink ribbon 90. The detection pattern 90e has asymmetric shapes 90f and 90g to a longitudinal virtual line L2 passing through a central position of the detection pattern 90e in a width direction X extending in the longitudinal direction Y and crossing the longitudinal direction Y.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
