PURPOSE: To make it possible to maintain high-quality printing, by providing a turnable lever part for transmitting a driving force of a drive controlling means to an ink ribbon cartridge through a cartridge roller part, and composing a support shaft for turning of the lever part of an eccentric bush.

CONSTITUTION: A drive controlling means 20 for driving an ink ribbon cartridge 2 into a tilting and turning action and a turning-stopping action, a turnable lever part 30 for transmitting a driving force of the means 30 to the ink ribbon cartridge 2, and an eccentric bush 40 constituting a support shaft for turning of the lever part 30 are provided. When the eccentric bush 40 is turned at the time of total operation adjustment, the position of a raised pressing part 33 of a shifting lever 31 is changed little by little in the direction of a platen 1, whereby an initial position of the cartridge 2 can be set or changed extremely easily. After the initial position is specified, the bush 40 is fixed to a ribbon base 4 by a screw 41. Therefore, the center of turning of the lever 31 is hardly varied, the initial position of the cartridge 2 will not be changed during the operation, and high-quality printing can be continued for a long time.
