The ink ribbon is provided with a plurality of printing regions 44, which are partitioned corresponding to paper length and to which an ink layer having a prescribed hue to be transferred onto the paper in response to heat is formed, a non-printing region 45 having a high light-transmittance rate provided to the tip part of each printing region 44 in order to partition a plurality of the printing regions 44, and a header mark 46 having a low light-transmittance rate provided to the non-printing region 45. The header mark 46 is provided with an ink layer having a low light-transmittance rate transferrable to the paper by heat.
